Garza Blanca Preserve & Hotel Mousai

  • Spooky Trolly

This Halloween, prepare for a frightening experience aboard the Spooky Trolly at Garza Blanca Preserve in Puerto Vallarta this October 31st.

Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year, not only because it is filled with sweets and treats, but also because it is a time to dress up in our favorite costumes and be someone different. Whether you want to be a character from a Disney film (perhaps Cruella?), a zombie, or a ghost, Halloween is the time to put on your best costume and head to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! Wearing a costume adds a whole new level of excitement to Halloween, especially when you are on vacation. Whoever you choose to dress up us, don your best costume and get prepared to meet ghoulish characters that may cause you to shriek and scream!

The meeting point for the Spooky Trolly (resembling a 1930s streetcar) will be at the Garza Blanca Lobby and there will be 3 rides departing at 7:00 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:00 pm. Each ride will last approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Reservations are not required, and guests will board the trolly on a first come, first served basis.

The Spooky Trolly will go from the Garza Blanca Lobby to the tennis court and return to the Garza Blanca Lobby. During the tour, several spirits from the underworld will appear and lunge towards our guests, turning our beautiful Preserve into an atmosphere of terror!

Along the way, you will likely be met by werewolves, vampires, zombies, the weeping woman, Jason and his famous chainsaw, and even Mexican legends like Charro Negro (the headless horseman), and La Llorona wearing a stained white wedding dress. Prepare for moments of fear, adrenaline, and extreme emotion as these characters jump out and come towards you while eerie music plays in the background.

As Garza Blanca prepares to transform into a scary hotel, for one night only, we look forward to celebrating this holiday in a spectacular style with our valued guests and members.

  • Day of the Dead

On November 2nd in Mexico, we celebrate Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, which is one of the most representative traditions of Mexican culture.

The traditions of this celebration include visiting loved ones in cemeteries and families gathering at the graves of the departed and respectfully creating altars for them with their favorite foods, drinks, maybe a cigar, flowers, candles, incense, and photographs. It is thought that the Day of the Dead is the one day of the year when departed souls can crossover from beyond and visit the earthly realm to be near us. It is a day of remembering beloved family members, praying for them, and it is also a day of celebration, celebrating the lives of those who are no longer with us.

Altar muertos

In honor of this special day, we will have our memorial altar in the lobby of Villa del Palmar Cancun from November 1st to 3rd, if you plan to stay with us during those dates, make sure you stop by and take a look.

Later in the evening, join us at Caprichos for our Mexican buffet. The cost of the buffet is included for guests with the all-inclusive plan. For Room Only guests, there will be a cost of $720 MXN for adults and $360 MXN for children aged 6 to 12.

Starting at 9:00 pm, join us at the main pool for a wonderful LAS CATRINAS show, where you can enjoy the voice of the "3 Marias" who will delight us with the most representative songs of Mexico.

Come to experience this beautiful Mexican tradition with us!
