Kindly take note of this information to ensure your travels to Mexico are as seamless as possible.
Tax-Free Limitations
- Limit one portable computing device per person. This includes laptops, tablets, iPads, and other portable devices.
- Limit three cell phones or other wireless devices per person.
*Note: Exceeding the limit may result in Mexico Customs imposing a fine or tax of up to 19% on the value of the additional device(s).
Prohibited Items

- Medicines that contain pseudoephedrine, such as Actifed, Sudafed, and Vicks inhalers, or codeine
- Narcotic drugs, including marijuana
- Electronic cigarettes/vapes
- Plants, fruits, and vegetables
